yum install dkms binutils gcc make patch libgomp glibc-headers glibc-devel kernel-headers 

Then install the kernel-devel package.

yum install kernel-devel

You can also use the below commands to install the kernel-devel package.

yum install kernel-PAE-devel

Once you have installed the package then run the vboxguest.

VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

In most cases, reinstallation of the DKMS module can fix the modprobe error. The update ubuntu may not delete old Linux images that will result in modprobe error because ubuntu will not delete the old kernel automatically. So we need to delete the kernel manually and then reinstall the DKMS.
