Check our<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skynats.com\/google-cloud-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DigitalOcean management<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>plan to know more details.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Click on the create menu in the top right on the digitalocean control panel, select volumes, <\/strong>then choose an existing droplet where you need to attach the volumes in <strong>Select Droplet to attach to.<\/strong><\/li><li>Choose the size to the volumes which should be (1GB to 16 TIB(16,384 GB)<\/li><li><strong>Format and mount volumes<\/strong>: This support automatically to an operating system. Click on the <strong>More menu <\/strong>under <strong>Config instructions<\/strong> for manual formatting and mounting the volumes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Move a volume from one droplet (OR) to &nbsp;different droplet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To prevent the OS-level error you need to unmount the volumes.<\/li><li>Open the volumes <strong>More<\/strong> menu, choose to <strong>Detach from Droplet<\/strong>. Detaching a volume will try to remove the volumes from its existing droplet.<\/li><li>From the same <strong>more menu<\/strong>, choose the <strong>Attach to droplet<\/strong> to attach the volumes to different droplet, then select the droplet that you want to use.<\/li><li><strong>Mount the volumes<\/strong> to access the new droplet.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Increasing the size of the volumes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the volumes select more Menu button, Choose Increase size.<\/li><li>In the Increase volume size window, you have to enter a new size (it should be at least 1 GB&#8221; larger than current size) and select Resize volumes.<\/li><li>Now you need to expand the filesystem space by adding the size for ext4, use resize2fs.For XFS, use xfs_growfs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We can&#8217;t reduce the size of the volumes because it leads to filesystem corruption and data loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delete the volumes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To delete the volume&#8217;s you need to open the <strong>More menu<\/strong> and choose Delete button.<\/li><li>A&nbsp; <strong>Delete Volume<\/strong> window open in order to re-confirm the deletion.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can add a new volume to an existing droplet or a new droplet in the digital ocean account.
